Spring Is Here

Dawn breaking over fields of green
Birds fly to find the sun beyond
White snow on tips of hills
Early morning surreal landscapes form
Walking through this wonderland
Air so pure it stings my throat
Nothing but my thoughts for company
Trees beckon me onwards
Water drips from their bare branches
To earth covered in the new growth
Spring is here again to breath new life

Beauty

While walking through the woods
Such a beautiful sight came to me
A woman all garbed in lilac stood
Beside her a unicorn was grazing
In her hands flowers tied with ribbons
Woven to make a garland sweet scented
As I watched she placed this wreath
Upon the forelock and round the horn
Of this mythical beast from time past
In adoring homage to his beauty
The light from it's hide was glowing
Bringing translucent shine to all
As he nuzzled the new grown shoots

Unicorn

Standing majestic amongst the trees
Shining with a translucent light
A unicorn is standing with its foal
Head bowed to kiss its head softly
Horn is bright like ivory glowing
This magical creature such a sight
Neck curved delicatly arching
Purest white fur that begs a hand
To stroke its textured hide gently
Breath warm upon its young
Calming its cries so sweetly
More tender scene you'll never see
So hush your feet and creep away
From this beautiful beast of nature
